The Bottom Ten/NFL Week 14

The Bottom Ten/NFL Week 14
By Gaylon KentAmerica’s Funniest Guy™

The cream is starting to rise in the race for the most coveted trophy in sports, The Dan Henning Trophy – symbolic of NFL Bottom Ten supremacy – with some space being put between the unchanged Bottom Ten medal stand teams and the teams left wondering about Bottom Ten medal stand glory.

Meanwhile, the eyes of Bottom Ten fan(s) everywhere will be on Green Bay this week, as the Bears and the Packers – losers of a combined seven (7) straight – play in what many are already calling a Bottom Ten Game of the Year nominee.

This week’s mess, as the nags  are in the far turn:

1. Houston Texans (1-9-1; lost to Miami 30-15) – 30-0 halftime deficit Total Team Effort (TTE), as offense punts or turns ball over entire first half while defense, well, gives up 30 points…Currrent six (6)-game skid best in NFL…Next Loss: Cleveland

2. Chicago Bears (3-9; lost to NY Jets 31-10) – With Texans threatening to make mockery of B-10 race – never particularly easy to do – Bears need help to earn B-10 title, but not that much help, having lost five (5) straight and eight (8) of last nine (9)…Next Loss: Green Bay

3. Los Angeles Rams (3-8; lost to Kansas City 26-10) – First-to-worst trek continues for defending Super Bowl champions with routine road loss…Rams need strong loss this week before starting tough three (3)-game stretch vs Raiders, Packers, Broncos…Next Loss: Seattle

4. Denver Broncos (3-8; lost to Carolina 23-10) – Stingy offense and untimely defense combine to have Broncos knocking on door of coveted spot in B-10 medal stand…Minefield of remaining schedule, plus 12/25 showdown vs Rams give Broncos great shot at 2022 B-10 glory …Next Loss: at Baltimore

5. Green Bay Packers (4-8; lost to Philadelphia 40-33) – Unfortunate 3-1 start still holding Packers back, despite playing some of the worst football in league right now…Depth of 2022 B-10 field highlighted by fact Packers have lost seven (7) of eight (8) and remain outside of B-10 medal stand looking in…Next Loss: at Chicago

6. Indianapolis Colts (4-7-1; lost to Pittsburgh 24-17) – With Colts back in survey, B-10 pollsters angst over role tie game will play in final B-10 rankings returns, despite continued losing by Texans…NFL, Colts to conduct investigation into what Colts were doing on Monday Night Football in first place…Next Loss: at Dallas

7. Arizona Cardinals (4-8; lost to LA Chargers 25-24) – Cardinals unable to lose big ones in 2022, as four (4) wins have all come against teams that either are in or have been in 2022 B-10 survey at some point…Next Loss: New England

8. NFC South (18-29) – Still the division to beat – literally – in the race for coveted Pete Rozelle Award – issued to NFL’s worst division – again earning weekly honors as Buccaneers, Falcons each lead division with five (5) wins.

9. Detroit Lions (4-7; lost to Buffalo 28-25) – Though untimely three (3)-game win skid probably ended Lions 2022 B-10 title chances, strong finish will ensure 63rd-straight final B-10 finish ..Next Loss: Jacksonville

10. NFL – League still foisting lousy football off on public, with 14 teams – a full seven-sixteenths of league – having only four (4) or fewer wins for only fourth time this century.
