A ranking of some things.
1. Republican Party – The party of Lincoln is now looking to redraw Congressional districts in Louisiana, and not in the interest of sending a diverse delegation to Washington, either…It is merely the ruling party looking to consolidate power, just like in the old Communist nations…On the other hand, there is no reason blue states cannot start doing this, too.
2. Iran War – Still illegal because it was not declared by Congress as mandated in the Constitution, and still immoral because those 160 or so school girls we bombed a few weeks ago aren’t ever coming back…History will always regard every death in this debacle as a slaughter and a waste.
3. Gaylon For Congress…Vote Early, Vote Often – The 3-hole staple…A hundred years from now all new people – including Americans, if there are any left – will look back at Trump Era and wonder what made a lying, ignorant man of zero moral or intellectual substance so appealing as a presidential candidate…They will conclude that America – then in its seventh decade of TV and fast-food being focal points of American life – was too busy being well-entertained and well-fed to care anymore.
Editor’s Note: Gaylon is the Libertarian Party’s nominee for the US House from Colorado’s 2nd District. Click here to contribute to the campaign.
4. NCAA Tournament Expansion – Who exactly was clamoring for this, because the first two (2) teams left out of the tournament this year combined for 31 losses, and of the other six (6) who probably would’ve made the tournament, five (5) had losing conference records…We’ll watch, though, and those in charge will keep force-feeding us crap like this.

Extra, extra, read all about it.
In 1802 – Washington D.C. – the capital of the United States – is incorporated as a city. The district had been organized the year before, and put under the control of the federal government and was run by a board of commissioners. The district got three electoral votes in presidential elections in 1961 through the 23rd Amendment to the Constitution, and has had a non-voting delegate in Congress since 1971.
In 2023 – Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angeles becomes the second major league player to hit at least 100 home runs and strike out at least 500 batters in a 6-4 win over the St Louis Cardinals. Ohtani’s 5th-inning strike out of Nolan Arenado was the 500th of his career, and his 13th and final strike out of the game and he did not figure in the decision. Ruth hit 714 home runs and struck out 501 batters in his career.
In 1997 – The Notorious BIG is at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the first of three consecutive weeks with Hypnotize. Notorious BIG was murdered on March 9 in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, and he was the fifth artist to have posthumous #1 song. The feat would be repeated in August when Mo Money Mo Problems went to #1, and Notorious BIG remains the only act with two posthumous #1 songs and they remain his only two chart-toppers. Hypnotize was also in the second of three consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart and peaked at #10 in Great Britain.

The future, good or ill, was not forgotten, but ceased to have any power over the present…they were content with each good day as it came.
