The Diary of a Nobody: The latest from around The Shire. Today’s Diary.

In health news, I’ve taken to using a Neti pot before I go to sleep…My nose has been stuffing up at night for most of the winter…Usually, I blow my nose and this usually does the trick, but not always, obliging me to breathe thru my mouth while sleeping.

(A Neti pot is one of those deals whose spout you stick in a nostril and the water – warm, mixed with a solution – comes out the other nostril.)

Like the water filter, this is something else The Wife introduced me to that I immediately disdained that I would ultimately change my mind about…It does work, cleaning out the nose so ol’ Sparrow can breath thru his nose while sleeping…This is good because otherwise you are breathing thru your mouth which leads to a mouth that feels like it is stuffed with a sock when you wake up…Or Triscuit wafers…It varies and this problem is exacerbated by not having any teeth up front because air then flows in like an induction pipe.
