Editor’s Note: Gaylon is working on a project and most elements of The Daily Dose – Leading Off, The Sunday Bottom 5, On This Date, Some Philosophy Crap, Trivia – are either on hiatus or running intermittently. Your full-service Daily Dose will return later this summer.

The Sunday Bottom 5
A ranking of some things.

1. God’s Bankers by Gerald Posner – As interesting as it is informative, though Vatican Bank hijinks hardly a surprise from church that helped Nazis escape and whose clerics molested boys…Still, though, Sunday Bottom 5 pollsters “pretty sure” it was comforting to know Vatican priests are as concerned about consolidating wealth and power as other mortals.

2. 3×3 Basketball – It’s hard to believe USA unable to qualify men’s team for upcoming Olympics in derivative of sport we effing invented…Sunday Bottom 5 pollsters remain “pretty sure” they could’ve gone to any inner-city and found three guys who could’ve named the score against dreaded Latvia, but they weren’t consulted in the matter.

3. Lauren Daigle Sunday Bottom 5 pollsters bidding adieu to longtime 3-hole staple whose song You Say remains in runner-up spot on Billboard’s Hot Christian Singles chart after Billboard all-chart record 130 non-consecutive weeks at #1…At least until song returns to #1, of course…Envious Morman Tabernacle Choir press office now sending SB5 pollsters press kits on upcoming combined slow jazz/rap version of Common Doxology.

4. Donald Trump Supporters – Former president remains a lying sexual predator who believes the moon is part of Mars…And that the Revolution was won by the securing of British airports…Sunday Bottom 5 pollsters still asking Trump supporters which of these elements continues to solidify their support…While paperwork still being finalized, entry expected to become this feature’s next 3-hole staple.

5. GOP – White sheet sales spike as Republican senators celebrate continued voter suppression following their blocking of pesky Democrat’s bill looking to increase ballot access for all Americans…Sunday Bottom 5 pollsters still wondering why legislator in a nation conceived in liberty isn’t bending over backwards to make ballot access as easy as possible for everyone.

Today At The Site
Writing worth reading. Usually.

Of course, it’s Read Free Sunday (RFS) at The Diary.

The Diary of a Nobody – Sparrow picks up a sterling silver service set at the convention. Today’s Diary.

I was at the Auxiliary’s silent auction and noted it at the end of a table and thought that looks interesting while simultaneously thinking I have no use for this whatsoever…I mean, who demands sterling silver service at The Shire, the cat???…Still tho, I couldn’t get it out of my head during the morning session, so later I went back and for reasons that might well be clear one day wrote down a $100 bid, topping the only other bid by only $95…

Some Philosophy Crap
The wisdom of the ages. Whatever.

He had discovered that one does not gain control of other men’s minds by antagonizing them.
