It’s Sparrow, an average man passing an average life…
Saturday, June 12 Amy was not in good humor tonight when yours truly reported for duty at the hotel…Amy is on record as not being pleased with the results of the tech refresh, especially how some reservations don’t get uploaded in a timely manner, tho I haven’t heard Q or Mark whine about this.

The cat kept pressing her case, tho, and I had two options: put her in time out and close the bedroom door – which neither of us like – or get up, put some coffee on and get the day started…It was a nail-biter of a vote, but the fact I wasn’t getting right back to sleep tipped matters and getting up squeaked out the narrow win.

This is a new route and my guts – call it the instincts all the great ones have if you must – said this was about two miles and I checked it later on that website that tracks distances down to inch and sure enuff it was…A bit more actually.

It’s Read Free Fortnight at The Diary. See what’s shaking with Sparrow with his compliments.
The Diary of a Nobody – Mark takes the bait, Sparrow makes yet another change to using touch screens at the hotel and there is some scratch paper drivel, too.
Today’s Diary.
For the second consecutive night, I‘ve modified my Touch Screen Usage (TSU) policy…Before, use at the back office computer was deemed too tedious, then last night it was modified to occasional use but tonight it was used as often as possible, simply because it’s shiny and new and I could…Sometimes you fat-finger the wrong button, but if you’re careful you can generally avoid this.

Read Free Fortnight at The Diary is still a thing.
It’s Sparrow, an average man passing an average life…
Wednesday, June 9 Mark took the bait.
Regular readers of this crap know Mark has, for a couple of months now, been accenting his cash drawer spreadsheets (CDSS) by highlighting the day, date, totals and even his name…Regular readers of this crap also know Mark has been using the same blue ink and red highlighter the past couple of weeks now.
And recall yesterday, in an effort to tempt him to use other colors, I put every color of pen and highlighter in easy reach of his preferred left front desk computer.

The Diary of a Nobody – At the hotel, Sparrow has already revised his one-day-old Touch Screen Usage policy. Today’s Diary.
The problem tho, is it is a hassle to go from touch screen to mouse and back…It’s easier to keep using the mouse – or my treasured keyboard shortcuts – so while touch screen usage is now authorized in the back office, it won’t be used a whole lot.

The Diary of a Nobody – Sparrow frets over the new back office chair at the hotel. Today’s Diary.
I don’t know why they got rid of the old chair…It was still in good shape and as near as I can tell earned wide acclaim and drew no complaints and regular readers of this crap know a change of this magnitude has the potential to cause yours truly all kinds of angst because few are as big a creature of habit as moi…The old chair was comfortable and while the seat of the new chair is hardly laced with thumbtacks, the arms are not adjustable!!!…I am not making that up…
