Almost screwed up the waffle batter at Hotel A this morning…Janis had washed all dishes associated with our complimentary breakfast and that included the batter dispenser, so it needed a fresh batch…Usually, it isn’t as hard to make as I made it today.

Thank goodness for Town Trash Day TTD)…The seven old tires we rescued from the shed Thursday were properly disposed of this morning.
TTD was very well organized…The trash men were there with two trucks and a dumpster and the tire guys were there, too, and it was very well attended…I got there after work, about 0740, 20 minutes early and the line was already a couple of blocks long and driving past while heading home it was even longer.

Presided over my final monthly meeting as Post Commander tonight…Natalie, who had been senior vice commander, was elected commander and ran unopposed.
Good…When I was first elected a few years back some joked that I was signing on for a 40-year term because then I was the youngest one in the post and anyone who wanted to be commander had already been commander, probably multiple times…But I am pleased to report that is no longer the case…We have enough new and involved younger members so it is likely ol’ Sparrow can retire and enjoy life as Exalted Past Commander.

Good morning friends,
Lot’s going on. Leading off, of course, is today’s Diary of a Nobody. Some funny stuff today, including The Wife returning from her house sitting duties, which has immediate repercussions for Sparrow, including folding the laundry.
Also, I did my first Facebook live session of the 2018 campaign season. Click here to see it. It’s about six minutes long and among other things we talk about some of the special interest emails I’ve been getting. It’s not too bad, tho after watching it it is plain I need to look at the camera more, a typical complaint when you have a face made for radio.
